About me

I was born and raised in a town just outside of Seattle. Much of my childhood was difficult, and I found comfort in creating. My favorite thing I used to do is get a sheet of printer paper, a pencil, and just sit down until I filled it up. I illustrated an overhead scene, with characters, buildings, hidden creatures. It was an excuse to just draw whatever I felt like drawing. It was boundless creativity without a voice telling you to rein it in.

When I was 17, I joined the Navy, which would have a lasting impact on the trajectory of my life. I served as an attack system operator on a nuclear missile submarine. I spent years as a contractor working with fellow veterans. I miss all my comrades who served, you are the best.

Today I use art as a vital tool to externalize what stirs around in my mind and body. I encourage everyone to explore art, as I know it can help you. Some things you feel, don’t have words. Sometimes, the experience, or feeling you need to externalize, can only work its way out through creating artwork of your own. Nothing can ever replace that.
